Chinmay has more than two decades of experience in financial services and comes with a deep understanding of the Indian consumer and technology ecosystem. Over the past 15 years, he has invested $1Bn+ in tech-enabled companies across various sectors.

Prior to joining Epiq Capital, Chinmay was the Senior Director of Corporate Development at Flipkart where, he led 15+ investments across seed to growth stages, notably Flipkart’s investments in Shadowfax, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Cleartrip, Ninjacart and Arvind Youth Brands. He has also represented Flipkart as a Board member and observer on the Boards of various investee companies including Blackbuck (NSE:BLACKBUCK). He also set up and led Flipkart Ventures, a $100M fund focused on investing in early-stage companies disrupting the internet ecosystem.

Before Flipkart, Chinmay was the Vice President of Investments in the Mumbai office of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the sovereign wealth fund of the Malaysian government. Over 8 years at Khazanah, he was instrumental in investing across several listed and private consumer and technology companies such as Fractal Analytics and Titan Company Limited

Prior to Khazanah, he worked across credit underwriting roles in Bank of America group and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Chinmay holds an MBA from Indian School of Business and is also a rankholder Chartered Accountant and a CFA charter holder.
